Beach Hair

Sand squished between your toes, crispy salty air whirling your hair all around, a warm setting sun kissing your face, gentle lapping waves singing their soothing lullaby..... Can't you feel it now? Does your heart desperately long for the peace filled splendor only the magnificence of the ocean can offer? If so, welcome to the constant longing of my heart! Now don't get me wrong, I love my new home in the land locked state of colorful Colorado -boasting the most amazing and intense sunsets imaginable- but I'm a coastal girl at heart! In my quest to connect with my inner valley girl, I stumbled upon a styling technique that truly recreates the most perfect beach hair ever! If I cannot actually be there, great hair is the next best thing! Lol!

Divide your hair down the middle of your head.
Place halved sections on each shoulder.

Braid halved sections.

Start twisting a braid.
I twist away from my face.

Fully twisted.
Hold braid by hair band.

Make sure your flat iron is piping hot.
Close and twist flat iron in the same
direction that you twisted your braid.

Go over thicker parts of hair more than thinner
parts of the braid. The thin parts will 'curl' much
faster than the ticker parts of the braid.

Do not flat iron the hair band

Repeat on the other section.
Let braids cool before you remove hair bands and style.

Whoomp! Here it is!

Happy beach day to you!!
