Cream Warmers **Free Pattern**

What you will need:

2 Skein of Loops & Threads Country Loom Warm Cream

N hook 9.00mm

Tapestry Needle 

Buttons (8 total)

Abbreviations:

ch = chain

dc = double crochet

sc = single crochet

sl st = slip stich 

st(s) = stitch(es)

R = round

Foundation Chain

dc ch 25 (10")

This is a great tutorial that shows how to make a dc foundation ch.

Join in the Round

sl st into the top of the ch 4

ch 2

dc into the ch 2 space

NOTE: Chain 2 Space will not count as a stitch. Sl st into the top of the dc. This will help to prevent your warmer from having a 'hard' seam.

dc into each stitch (24 total) (25 total with ch 1 space)

sl st into in the top of the 1st dc

ch 2

Repeat dc (25) till R7

R8 -12 Increase in the last stitch

sl st, ch 2, dc in ch space, dc in each st, increase in last st (2 dc in same st), sl st to the top if the 1st dc 

R13-15 

dc into each st (including ch 1 space) for a total of 30 st(s)

sl st top of 1st dc, ch1

****Do not fasten off****

Button Shells

You will be working down the side of your warmers.

Here's the directions:

sc, 5 dc (same space), 2 sc, 5 dc (same space), 2 sc, 5 dc (same space), 2 sc, 5 dc (same space), 2 sc, fasten off.

4 shells total

NOTE: Crochet shells towards your body for the RT leg and away from your body for the LT leg.

Use a colored yarn scrap to mark side st(s)
From last st to the 1st st

sc into the 1st st

5 dc onto the dc 'bar'

sc at the end of the dc 'bar'

sc next space (pic shows 2 sc)

dc onto the dc 'bar' next to the last sc

Last 2 sc (ends at 1st st)

Finishing Work

Use your tapestry needle to sew together the bottom half of your dc foundation chain, then 'tuck' ends working in the backside of your warmer (so it doesn't show), cut off excess yarn. 

Sew button onto the 3dc (middle of the shell)
Sew all the way through the warmer
You don't want it to be a flapper!
