Xdc

Foundation Chain

Using I hook 5.5mm
ch 28 (10")
sl into 1st st and ch 2 (make sure your ch isn't twisted when joined in the R)
dc into ch 2 space
dc into next 27 st(s) for a total of 28 dc
sl st into the top of the 1st dc
ch 2

NOTE: Chain 2 Space will not count as a stitch. Sl st into the top of the dc. This will help to prevent your warmer from having a 'hard' seam.

R2-5 FPdc to the 1st st then BPdc the next continue until the last st, which should always be a BPdc
sl st to the top of your 1st FPdc then ch 2. Continue this pattern to R5

R6-13 Xdc in each st (1st Xdc the 'cross' will land in the ch 2 space) (17 Xdc in R)

R14 Increase in the last 4 st(s). 2 Xdc in each of the last 4 st(s).

NOTE: When you complete the 1st Xdc your increase st will  start with a dc into the st directly below your hook (your 1st dc of the 1st Xdc) then cross back to add your 2nd dc (your 2nd dc of the 1st Xdc)

R15-18   Xdc in each st (1st Xdc the 'cross' will land in the ch 2 space) (19  Xdc in R)

R19-24  FPdc to the 1st st (which is the 2nd st of your Xdc) then BPdc the next (which is the 1st st of your Xdc) continue until the last st, which should always be a BPdc. Sl st to the top of your 1st FPdc then ch 2. Continue this pattern to R24

Fasten Off after you complete R24

Stirrup

Turn Warmer inside out
Make sure you are fastening on to the bottom of your warmer (the narrow end)
Fold your warmer in half, seam in the back.
You will want to fasten on to toward the back of the Warmer so that it is positioned to 'stirrup' at the beginning of the heal (not the middle of your bridge).

Use H hook 5.0mm
Fasten on with: sl st at the beginning of a FPdc
R1-15 FPdc then BPdc for 10 total st(s) (you can count 5 FPdc knowing you'll have an equal 5BPdc)
After R15 you will need to sl st to the other end of the warmer.
Line up your FPdc and BPdc (Stirrup to Warmer) then sl st onto its matching FBdc/BPdc
Fasten off

Use your tapestry needle to weave in all of your ends. Then turn the Warmer right side out.

Buttons

Lay your Warmers right side facing up (when put on the left leg Warmer the right side of the Warmer should be facing out (up) and vice versa with the other Warmer) Remember that the stirrup is towards the back of the Warmer.

Measure 2" from the top of the bottom cuff then sew 1st button, measure 2" then place the 2nd button, and so on. After the last button is sewn on, there should be approximately 2" from that 4th button to the bottom of the top cuff.

With Heals

NOTE: You will have to put your heal (shoe) through the stirrup first,
the slide your leg through the warmer, then your foot into your high heal.
