Lemongrass Muscle Relaxer -Homemade Bath Salts-

Since starting a house cleaning business with two of my great friends, I needed to come up with something that could help unwind my sore muscles, ease my aching back, and rejuvenate my throbbing feet; all the while, refresh and calm my mind.

Here are some facts about the products I choose to help me succeed the above:

Epsom Salt: Studies have shown that magnesium and sulfate are both readily absorbed through the skin, making Epsom salt baths an easy and ideal way to enjoy the amazing health benefits. Magnesium plays a number of roles in the body including regulating the activity of over 325 enzymes, reducing inflammation, helping muscle and nerve function, and helping to prevent artery hardening. Sea Salt: The health benefits of sea salt include: relief from rheumatoid arthritis, muscle cramps, psoriasis, and osteoarthritis. It also helps in providing relief from acne and rhinosinusitis, and improves the electrolytic balance of the body. Oatmeal:  Oatmeal is full of vitamins, minerals and lipids that add moisture to benefit the condition of one's skin. Recipe:

2 cups of Epsom Salt
1 Cup of Sea Salt
1/2 cup Oatmeal
4 Tbs. Baking Soda
10 drops  Lemongrass
10 drops  Rosemary

Optional:
7 drops Yellow Food Coloring 


What You Need:

Food Processor 



Add your Oatmeal first

Process until fine

Add 2 cups of Epsom Salt

Add 4Tbs. of Baking Soda

Add 10 drops of Rosemary

Add 10 Drops of Lemongrass

Add 1 Cup Sea Salt

NOTE: I did this in a separate bowl but it is not necessary,
you can add  to the processor bowl.
Add 7 drops of Yellow
Mix well then add to processor bowl
Pulse 1-3 times till mixed


I simply reused a bunch of containers I saved for a project such as this.
I'm sure this little container looks familiar!



Add 2-4 TBS to a bath
