This a a great tutorial for making the chainless dc foundation!

Join in the Round

sl to the top of your ch 4

ch 1

hdc into ch 1 space

NOTE: Chain Space will not count as a stitch. Sl st into the top of the hdc. This will help to prevent your warmer from having a 'hard' seam.

hdc into each st (31) (32 total with ch 1 space)

sl st into top of 1st hdc

Repeat hdc (32) till R11

R12 & 13: increase in last st (2 hdc in last st)

R14-24: repeat ch1,  hdc (34)

R25: sl st into top of hdc, ch 2, turn your work (working clockwise now), dc in ch1 space.
dc for 4st(s) (4 total counting the dc in the ch 2 space) then increase (2 dc in 5th st) ***you will end with only 4 dc*** sl st into the top of the 1st dc. (40 total st(s))

NOTE: Chain 2 Space will not count as a stitch. Sl st into the top of the dc. This will help to prevent your warmer from having a 'hard' seam.

R26-43: Reapeat dc in ch1 then dc in each st thereafter (40 dc total), sl st to the top of the 1st dc.

Note: Warmer should 'fold over' the top and descend down the  hdc 'tube'.

R44: sl st into the top of 1st dc chain, ch 1, sc into ch 1 space then sc in each st thereafter (40 sc total)

End: sl st into the top of 1st sc chain, ch 1 to cast off.

Finishing work

Use your tapestry needle to sew together the bottom half of your dc foundation chain, then 'tuck' ends working in the backside of your warmer (so it doesn't show), cut off excess yarn.
