Joy -The New Infectious Disease

On Monday I found myself encouraging a young co-worker who had the day from HELL and it was barely 8am! We all know what that's like?! Nothing seems to work out, nothing seems to be going right, just a poopy messy mess! And knowing how determined I am to force joy upon people, I made sure I 'ran' into her several times just to make her laugh and to help her see past her situation. All the while I couldn't help thinking, "Thank God it's not me!" lol! Just being honest! No one willing wants to suffer!

But trouble was headed my way.....

My big, strong, help-everybody-but-himself hubby ruptured his bicep! Yikes and gross! It is seriously horrible in every way imaginable and he did it at work to boot! So you all know what a 'joy' (very sarcastically said) it is to deal with work men's comp! Free I know but I love the old saying my momma always says: You get what you pay for! So if it's free....well...yeah!

Oh but it's far from over.....

I just discovered (due to a loan transfer and the company not (seriously) contacting me), my students loans have come out of deferment and they are due....last SUNDAY!!! What! Jeesh! So I get it arranged to pay them Friday when I get paid. Easy peesy.....

Yep...you guessed it.....more disaster!

While I was out from work last week with the stomach flu, I forgot to submit my time for the last 2 weeks, and I will not be getting paid tomorrow!!

HILARIOUS!!!

And each time I feel like just breaking down or throwing in the towel or both (let's be frank), I cannot help but see my co-workers sweet smiling face in my head. Like the Lord himself is tapping on my shoulder saying, "Get your mind off your problem, look to Me, and smile!"

So I gulp down the lump in my throat, (after I'm done shedding some tears) turn my face to Him (after I blow my nose), smile (maybe a little forced) then say to myself: I count it all as joy, this too shall pass!

There is nothing like looking at your laundry list to make you feel completely defeated, deflated; and it also seats you up for the MAJOR breakdown when, one more things goes wrong! Friends, take your eyes off that list, hold your head high, and put a smile on your face, cause joy is coming your way! And if you find yourself enjoying an abundance of happiness and joy, share it!!! Let's spread joy like an infectious disease!! :)
