Apple Cinnamon Bread Pudding (Milk-Free)

In honor of my hubby who is lactose intolerant, I've tried my hand at making bread pudding without milk. I also had a ton of hot dog buns left over from last weekend and wanted to make something way more fabulous than a hot dog.

NOTE: You can use GF bread, which will work great in this recipe because it's so dry in texture.

1 Costco Package of Hot Dog Buns
2 Apples
2 cups of Almond Milk
4 Eggs
2/3 cups of Sugar
2 TBs Butter
1 Tb Vanilla
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Maple Syrup

Preheat over to 350 Degrees

Take your buns out of the package and let them sit out over night.
If you want to hurry the 'staling' process, put in the preheating oven
(rotate buns often), while you prepare the other ingredients.

Peal, core, and shred both apples

Add the liquid, eggs, sugar and spices
Mix Well

Cut your buns up into bite size pieces
inside of a greased pan

Add the shredded apple to your liquid/spice mixture
Mix Well

Pour liquid over the top of your cut up buns
and mix lightly (make sure the bread coated).

Let this rest for 20 mins before cooking.

Cook at 350 Degrees for 30 min,
then pull out and drizzle maple syrup over the top
Cook for 15 more mins.

Bread Pudding should be lightly browned
and will give and spring back when pressed on

Enjoy!!!
